Kezia Yeats, RMT
My journey toward becoming a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) has included time working with children, study of Classical Voice & Vocal Jazz and the Visual Arts, working in health care, supporting adults with developmental disabilities, and completion of the 3000hr RMT program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT), Victoria.
Some areas that I have special interest in working with are:
**Members of our transgendered community in efforts to provide supportive therapeutic modalities throughout transition. (please contact me if you are interested in the findings of my case study titled: Therapeutic Massage For The Restoration and Maintenance Of Effective Respiration During Breast-Tissue Binding Practices of a Female-to-Male Transgendered Individual: A Case Study)
**Pregnancy and postpartum treatments, to aid the development and solidification of the bond between new parents and their new additions
**Children and adults with developmental disabilities, to provide effective techniques for decreasing sympathetic nervous system firing and spasticity, furthering body integration.
**Fellow Vocalists, as their body is the instrument through which they express and perform.
My presence may be described as welcoming and warm and my technique to be confident, intuitive, knowledgeable, firm and honed. I enjoy deciphering the intricacies of a person’s complaint and getting to the core of the problem.
